The Hybrid learning model for both elementary and secondary was adopted by the Mahtomedi School Board on August 6 as our base learning model for the 2020-21 school year.

January 7, 2021 Update

At the meeting of the Mahtomedi School Board on January 7, 2021, the School Board adopted a learning model change to Hybrid for Mahtomedi Middle School and Mahtomedi High School.

December 22, 2020 Update: At the special meeting of the Mahtomedi School Board on December 22, the School Board adopted a learning model change for Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools.   • January 19, 2021: Implement Hybrid Learning Model for K-5 students (Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools). All elementary students will be in person for four days and home learning one day a week. Students will retain their original Hybrid schedule/home learning day. Families who made a learning model change for the second semester will begin their new model on this day and will receive their classroom placement information in January.
  • February 16, 2021: Implement 100% In-Person Learning Model for K-5 students (Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools). All elementary students would attend in person Monday through Friday. Families who wish to remain in family choice distance learning may do so as indicated in their second semester enrollment form.
  • New No School Day for Elementary Staff Planning: January 15, February 11 (No school for elementary students)


December 2, 2020 Update: Wildwood Elementary School, O.H. Anderson Elementary School, Mahtomedi Middle School, and Mahtomedi High School are currently in the Distance Learning 2.0 model.

Hybrid at the Elementary Schools (Wildwood Elementary School & O.H. Anderson Elementary School)
The Elementary Hybrid model is 5 days a week of continuous learning: All elementary students will be in person for four days and distance learning one day a week. O.H. Anderson Elementary School drop off will begin at 7:35 am and the school day will be from 7:45 am until 1:15 pm. Wildwood Elementary School drop off will begin at 7:45 am and the school day will be from 7:55 am until 1:25 pm.


Hybrid at the Secondary Schools (Mahtomedi Middle School & Mahtomedi High School)
The Secondary Hybrid model is 5 days a week of continuous learning: All secondary students are in person for two days and distance learning three days a week. The school day will be 9 am-2:30 pm.
