Minnesota Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a statewide effort to make it safe, convenient, and fun for all youth to walk, bike, and roll to school and in daily life. Walking or biking to, from, and during school is an easy way for students to get exercise, stay healthy, and arrive at school ready to learn.

Mahtomedi Public Schools has been awarded planning assistance from the Minnesota Department of Transportation to create a SRTS Plan for Wildwood Elementary, O.H. Anderson Elementary, Mahtomedi Middle School, Mahtomedi High School, and St. Jude of the Lake Catholic School.

The plan will be developed throughout the 2022-2023 school year. Once complete, the plan will provide direction and recommendations for improving walking and biking for Mahtomedi students.
