When learning model changes are deemed necessary we will use our established learning model change process. 2020-21 School Year Learning Model Updates

February 25, 2021 Update: On February 25, the Mahtomedi School Board adopted a learning model change to 100% In-Person learning for Mahtomedi Middle School and Mahtomedi High School. Click here to watch the video of the meeting and click here for the presentation slides.

January 7, 2021 Update

At the meeting of the Mahtomedi School Board on January 7, 2021, the School Board adopted a learning model change to Hybrid for Mahtomedi Middle School and Mahtomedi High School.

December 22, 2020 Update: At the special meeting of the Mahtomedi School Board on December 22, the School Board adopted a learning model change for Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools.   • January 19, 2021: Implement Hybrid Learning Model for K-5 students (Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools). All elementary students will be in person for four days and home learning one day a week. Students will retain their original Hybrid schedule/home learning day. Families who made a learning model change for the second semester will begin their new model on this day and will receive their classroom placement information in January.
  • February 16, 2021: Implement 100% In-Person Learning Model for K-5 students (Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary Schools). All elementary students would attend in person Monday through Friday. Families who wish to remain in family choice distance learning may do so as indicated in their second semester enrollment form.
  • New No School Day for Elementary Staff Planning: January 15, February 11 (No school for elementary students)


November 16, 2020: At the Mahtomedi School Board emergency meeting, the School Board adopted a learning model change to Distance Learning 2.0 for Wildwood, O.H. Anderson, and Mahtomedi Middle School for November 30 and December 2. Click here to watch the video of the School Board meeting and click here for the presentation slides. Mahtomedi Middle School learning model change to distance learning started on November 30 and Wildwood and O.H. Anderson Elementary School started on December 2.

November 2, 2020: At the special meeting of the Mahtomedi School Board, the School Board adopted a learning model change for Mahtomedi High School to Distance Learning 2.0 starting on November 10. Video of the meeting is available here and presentation slides are available here.

March 15 & 16: Secondary Staff Planning Days (No School for Grades 6-12)
March 17: Blue Cohort 100% In-Person (6 Period Day). Gold Cohort distance learning at home.
March 18: Gold Cohort 100% In-Person (6 Period Day) Blue Cohort distance learning at home.
March 19: Grades 6-12 100% In-Person (6 Period Day). 

February
February 1: Implementation of the Hybrid Learning Model for Grades 10 and 11 at Mahtomedi High School
February 11: Elementary Staff Planning Day (No School K-5)
February 11: Evening Conferences K-8
February 12: Staff Professional Day 6-12; K-5-Conferences (No School)
