Food Support for Our Families

During Hybrid and In-Person learning, breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students at all of our school buildings on school days. Meal packs will continue to be available for distance learners and for all students on holidays and no school days.

  • Starting in March, meal packs will be available on Fridays from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Mahtomedi High School, 8000 75th Street N., Mahtomedi.
  • Meal packs will now be available for holidays and no-school days for all students.

Weekly Backpack Food Program
Mahtomedi Public Schools, in partnership with the Mahtomedi Area Food Shelf, can provide a weekly bag of non-perishable breakfast and lunch items for students to bring home to those who sign up. Nothing is needed to qualify. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade who have signed up for the backpack program will also receive additional snacks each week for their snack times in their classrooms. Please note, you do not need to submit any paperwork to qualify for or access our free meal programs. Families in need of financial assistance for other school activities should fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch application online at SchoolCafe ( or it can be obtained from the Nutrition Services website by using this form or through the school office secretaries.
