UNDERSTANDING THE CogAT
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is one of the standardized assessments administered to students in ISD 832. As with all district testing, this assessment is used to gather quantitative data as part of an overall student profile, and used to best match student needs to the appropriate level of support services.
The CogAT assessment testing window this year will be from March 22, 2021 to April 2, 2021. For the 2020/2021 Academic Year, the CogAT will be administered to all third grade students at OHA.
Fourth and Fifth Grade students who are new to ISD 832 this year will also have the opportunity to take the CogAT assessment.
CogAT assessments will also include students participating in the full time distance learning model this year (all third graders and fourth/fifth graders new to Mahtomedi Public Schools). All testing will take place in-person, onsite at OHA Elementary.
More detailed information about the CogAT assessments will be available by the end of February 2021, including specific testing days/times for in person and distance learners.
