White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA)
Both the WriteNow! High School Writing Contest and the High School Visual Arts Contest & Juried Exhibition are WBCA outreach programs for area high school students. They are FREE opportunities for high school students to support their passions in the visual arts and writing, with the opportunity of public recognition and cash prizes to students with winning entries. WBCA is offering a FREE four-part online writers' course for high school students. In this creative writing class, students will learn essential skills for strengthening their writing - in any genre. This class features four lesson packets, each full of tips, exercises, and inspiration for writers of all skill levels.  NEW this year, students will have the opportunity to share their work with fellow writers during a live, online writing club facilitated by Karen Parkman. The writing club will take place via Zoom on Fridays, January 15 - February 19,2021, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
