Recognized for Energy Savings
The Schools for Energy Efficiency (SEE) Program recently recognized Mahtomedi Public Schools for achieving over $500,000 in energy savings. Phil Belden, the district's director of buildings and grounds, and his staff were highlighted for their constant attention to detail that keeps our schools safe and healthy while maintaining a high level of energy efficiency. Our efforts continue this fall with our sixth year of partnership with SEE.

School Supplies May Be Eligible for Tax Credit or Subtraction
From the St. Paul Pioneer Press: Notebooks, folders, calculators — school supplies add up over the course of the year. Parents busy with back-to-school shopping in the next couple of weeks should make sure they save receipts for tax time.
